【Kyushu University】2nd Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Design International Awards 2020
Kyushu University, Faculty of Design, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Design Unit and Center for Designed Futures, is proud to announce the commencement of our 2nd SGDs Design International Awards 2020. This is part of our efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
For this year awards, we want to focus on our immediate and urgent issue, the global pandemic – COVID-19.
Theme: Overcoming the Pandemic, Design for Evolution
With the rapid spread of the virus and its massive impact and implications globally, what can we do, now and in the future, to secure a sustainable world for all?
The objective of these awards is to recognize and encourage young, prospective students who can transform society, especially with this crisis at hand. At the same time, we will share their solutions with many people of the world and strive to utilize these approaches to create a better society in the future. We welcome all students of various disciplines from any parts of the world to explore innovative design solutions to solve this complex and urgent problem to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals to help save the world.
The application for the awards will start on May 15, 2020, and ends on August 31, 2020, Japan Time. We have attached a flyer on the competition with this email.
